EMMALINE'S SERENE NURSERY

This is our third GIRLS nursery and so we knew exactly what we wanted and what would make the most sense for our parenting style and for the baby based on our experience. I wanted it to be minimal but still make a statement! We didn’t want to have a lot of toys or books for that matter as they create clutter.
The poofs placed in the middle made the most sense because this was a space for crawling around and exploring and doing baby things. I wanted a soft rug to enable that movement and soft things to crawl on, also for the rest of the family to have something soft to sit on. The large stuffed animals on each side of the crib felt classic and magical to me and were probably my biggest splurge in here.
The mobile is probably still to this day one of my favorite pieces in the nursery and really tied in the subtle but gorgeous theme. The wallpaper is custom designed to make it feel like large scale hand painted art (and not available). I had a frame built around the wallpaper to make it pop! The paint color is also a custom color I mixed and is a very light subtle pink. We used it in the entire room (the name of the paint and color is....) even covering the doors, trim and celing. We probably tested about 100 paint samples but everything seemed light at the store and then when a sample was painted on the wall at home it felt really heavy and dark so that is why I ended up mixing my own custom color. Be aware that if you use this color it has a clear base because that is the only way we could get it light enough so it takes 3 or more coats. Most paint has a white base which provides more coverage. All the doors are painted in this same color to really make a subtle statement, they have a gloss finish. The trim was done with a gloss finish as well and the walls and ceiling are a matte finish.
The giant chair is the perfect chair to cozy up with baby wether it be breast feeding and swiveling or just cuddling and relaxing and pulling up a poof for your feet is an absolute must. I loved having this chair because often the older girls would hop up with me and hang while I fed the baby or while we put her to bed. The ceiling light is the same one from Arabella's nursery but it worked and adds a fun girly dimension so I have linked similar. The neon light with EMMALINE is such a fun addition and at night it makes for a really glowy atmosphere.
The mini book shelf is a DIY, spray painted white and then added wallpaper accent to give it a fun finish. The dresser was a hand me down from older sister Windsor and we use it for diaper station, swaddles etc. Honestly I don't think she has ever had her diaper changed there though, I always do it on the floor.
Her closet is complete with many hand me downs, a bow in every color and baby basics. I like to keep Emmaline in comfy clothes because its just better I think for a baby for crawling around and all over well being. Now that she is walking, her go to winter outfit is a cute oversized sweater, leggings and a bow and her new nike shoes. In the summer or on vacations she is mostly in comfy light weight dresses.
We have yet to finish the on-suite and will do soon. This room is one of my favorite places to be as its a true oasis for myself, the baby and the rest of the family. All the products are linked at the end of this post after the photos. Also for your convenience I linked my amazon store front page with all the items from the nursery that are from amazon.
